Erin Smith, RDN LD
I am originally from Newport, Oregon on the Pacific Coast. I received my Bachelor's in Dietetics from Oregon State University in 2012, followed by completing a 1200-hour dietetic internship through the University of Northern Colorado in 2012. I have experience in diabetes classes and individual counseling, and have seen a variety of patients with many different medical conditions over the past 7 years. I moved to Albuquerque 3.5 years ago, and am currently pursuing a Master's in Nutrition at the University of New Mexico. Some of my primary interests in nutrition are in food sensitivities, allergies, autoimmune diseases, and gut health.

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD, or RDN) has the highest level of education among nutrition professionals. A bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics is required, along with a 1200-hour dietetic internship. Registered Dietitian Nutritionists are sought out for their knowledge specifically in treating the nutritional component of medical conditions.
